Established over 32 years ago and with our headquarters in Malaga, Perth we have a broad customer base in the mining and minerals processing industry.Transmin is seeking the expertise of an experienced Works Manager to join us in leading our busy workshop. This is a Perth based role only (no site work).About the RoleProvide short, mid and long term resource planning, ensuring the efficient flow of production and service jobs/projects through the workshop and on-site;Drive continual improvement of Transmin products, systems and operations;Actively set standards to increase efficiencies in the workshop and on-site, monitoring and reporting compliance;Assist HR in setting development plans for supervisory and crew leader roles;Coordinate the development, issue and control of work packs/job cards issued to the workshop;Provide assistance to the Workshop Supervisor in managing HR/IR issues;Set annual workshop budgets and review quarterly as directed;Develop and manage a comprehensive tool register;Establish SWP's and integrate with WHSE where necessary.About YouExcellent verbal and written communication skills;Sound computer literacy;Knowledge and understanding of machining, welding and painting/surface prep processes;Knowledge of QA/QC;Previous experience with manufacturing/production planning software packages and ERP's;Proven experience in resource scheduling and planning;Relevant trade qualification/background or equivalent vocational training/experience.Minimum of 5+ years experience in workshop management and planning.Why TransminWA owned and operated OEM celebrating over 32 years of success;A professional, informal and flexible working environment allowing for an excellent work – life balance;Social and family inclusive workplace with employee benefits and an active social club.
