The Key Account Manager (Pilbara region focus) will report to the Aftermarket Sales Manager - Parts, and will be responsible for selling spares, parts and aftermarket solutions to nominated key clients, for Transmin's own range of engineered equipment as well as our agency and distributorship products. The successful candidate will be supported by a team of coordinators and sales support staff, allowing for a focus on core sales activity.This key account role is focused on mining clients in the Pilbara and would be ideally suited to a resident of the Pilbara region with an extensive understanding of industry, and a wide network of professional contacts, in that area. However, Perth based applicants are still welcome to apply, but all applicants must be prepared for frequent travel - approximately 25-50% of the role.About the RoleManage and build relationships and grow client base - client base focused in the Pilbara;Conduct business development activities and actively seek new opportunities for growth;Understand customer requirements and offer the most suitable products based on specifications, cost and availability;Prepare costing sheets, generate and submit formal quotations, ensuring full involvement throughout the process;Agreement and Contract compliance and management, with key milestones and objectives;Manage territory/portfolio customer database;Manage leads and follow up to convert to orders.About YouMinimum of 3-5 years' experience selling bulk materials handling fixed mechanical plant and equipment or spare parts, preferably in the mining and/or minerals processing sectors;Proven experience managing key client accounts and leveraging them to achieve and exceed sales targets;A strong mechanical and engineering aptitude;An understanding of financials including budgets and KPI's;An excellent understanding of the WA mining, minerals processing and bulk materials handling markets - key clients will be Pilbara based, so an understanding of industry in this region highly desirable;Established network of current client site contacts in the Pilbara very desirable;Understanding of contractual and commercial terms;Ability to collate meaningful sales reports, supported by at least an intermediate level of IT skills including MS Word & Excel;Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be a definite advantage;Willingness and ability to travel frequently - approx. 25-50% of role;What's on OfferA competitive base salary plus superannuation;A fully maintained work vehicle - reasonable private use included;Excellent sales incentive scheme - calculated and paid quarterly - value up to 25% of the annual base salary;Paid annual Qantas Club membership;Opportunities for frequent travel;Access to our employee recognition & reward program;A supportive, available and hands-on management team;A professional, informal and flexible working environment;Social and family inclusive workplace including an active social club;If you're a high level communicator who is self motivated, with excellent negotiation abilities and a proven track record in sales of parts and supplies, apply with your resume and a covering letter which specifically addresses the criteria mentioned.For more information on Transmin and for a comprehensive understanding of our mechanical equipment range, please visit www.transmin.com.auApply with your current resume, and a covering letter specifically addressing the criteria outlined above.
